Laura Geitz’s achievements on and off the court are something remarkable: a champion Australian netballer, gold medallist, health advocate and now, above all, mother to two beautiful boys. Laura spent 10 years representing Australia as a champion defender, with a total 71 international games to be proud of. Now retired, her feet are working just as hard to keep up with her growing family while mentoring rising female athletes across all sporting codes. Here, Laura opens up about being a busy mum and keeping up an active lifestyle.
So Laura, you’re a new mum of two, ex-athlete and now sports mentor. How do you find the time to take care of your feet while leading such a busy lifestyle?
Life is exceptionally busy running around after two little ones. My FRANKiE4s live on my feet purely for their comfort and convenience. I live in activewear for most of my days, so they are the perfect combination, but I also love that I can dress up an outfit with the likes of the NAT sneaker!
As an ex-athlete, I'm sure you understand the importance of taking care of your feet. How have you found your FRANKiE4s in supporting your active lifestyle?
As an ex-athlete I know first-hand about blisters and the impact that wearing the wrong shoes can have. I have a size 11 foot and sometimes that means it's difficult to find shoes that are comfortable but still stylish. This is what I love most about FRANKiE4, regardless of the style, the comfort factor is always priority and I know I am looking after my feet and overall posture by wearing them.

Giving back is one of our four core values. We love that you are now giving back to rising female athletes. How did you get into this work, and what do you love most about it?
Women's Sport is in such an exciting space at the moment and is only going to gather more momentum as time goes on. I feel forever in debt to the game of netball for all of the experiences and opportunities it has provided me on and off the court, which is why I am passionate about giving back to the next generation of female athletes. If my experiences and learnings can have a small positive impact on others than that's a very small way, I can repay the game I played and other female sporting codes.
